STEM Help

The modern world sets challenging tasks for education: learning should be interesting, knowledge should be applicable in practice, learning should take place in an entertaining form, and all this, by all means, should bring good fruits in the child's future - high-paying jobs, self-actualization, high intellectual performance.

Some parents and teachers are still scratching their heads in search of a solution to all these issues, while others have made the right choice in favor of STEM education. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or STEAM (where "A" stands for "Arts") is an approach to education based on the natural connection of the disciplines in the acronym, an interdisciplinary and applied approach that integrates all five disciplines into a single learning scheme.

Science includes physics, chemistry, and biology-the natural sciences. Interdisciplinarity is already present here, and together with technology, engineering, mathematics, and the arts, it becomes a comprehensive educational concept to prepare children professionally for a technologically advanced world, connecting learning, careers, and further professional development. According to educators, integration allows one to be successful in most professions, and the future depends on the implementation of STEM technologies.

The goal of this modern educational phenomenon is to develop highly organized thinking in students and to teach how to effectively apply the acquired knowledge through project-based learning. STEAM education activates both hemispheres of the brain. Students in this program, in addition to physics and mathematics, learn robotics, programming, constructing and programming their own robots.

The classes use special technological laboratory and educational equipment, such as 3D printers, visualization tools, and more. According to experts, STEAM-education should begin with the earliest preschool age, when already in kindergarten children get the first robotics skills with the help of LEGO-construction.

STEM-education allows the use of scientific methods, technical applications, mathematical modeling, engineering design, which leads to the formation of innovative thinking, skills, 21st century skills. The introduction of STEM/STEAM education helps children learn to quickly navigate the flow of information and put their knowledge into practice.
